WAMSOFT-CASHMERE CARE GUIDE
Keep your wool and cashmere clothing plush and comfortable for a long time with the right care. Although you can take them to a professional cleaner, washing them by hand at home is just as easy. Here's how to clean them gently but effectively:
Step 1: Prep Before Washing
Get your supplies ready: a mild wool detergent, a basin, and a clean towel. Fill the basin with lukewarm water (test with your elbow to make sure it's not too hot) and add a bit of detergent. Remember, wool and cashmere are delicate, so steer clear of bleach.
Step 2: Softly Wash
Place your wool and cashmere items into the soapy water and gently rub to create suds. Let them soak for about 30 minutes to help loosen dirt and oils. After soaking, rinse the items well in clean water and gently press out the extra water.
Step 3: Drying Process
Place your wool & cashmere on a clean, dry, white towel and reshape it to its original form. Roll up the towel with the garment inside, pressing gently to soak up the water without stretching the fibers. Unroll and lay the garment flat to air dry completely.
Step 4: Storing Correctly
Don't hang your wool and cashmere items as this can cause them to stretch. Instead, fold them neatly and store in breathable boxes or cotton bags. Keep them in a cool, dark, and dry place. To protect against moths, consider using mothballs.
Step 5: Regular Care
To prevent pilling, use a cashmere comb, sweater stone, or fine-tooth comb. Gently brush the surface to remove any fuzz or pills, keeping your cashmere smooth and looking its best.
By following these steps, your wool and cashmere items will stay luxurious and cozy, ready to wrap you in warmth and comfort every time you wear them.
